পটভূমি: আইইএবি প্রতিষ্ঠার পটভূমিতে ১১ ডিসেম্বর ২০২০ শিল্প/বেসরকারী সেক্টরে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের জন্য অন্যতম বিশেষ একটি দিন। সত্য ও ন্যায়ের পক্ষে থেকে এই দিন শিল্প ক্ষেত্রে ও প্রাইভেট সেক্টরে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের সকল বৈষম্য দূরীকরণে ও সার্বিক কল্যাণার্থে “আইইএবি” নামক ঐক্যবদ্ধ প্ল্যাটফর্ম (অআনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে) প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। ”আইইএবি” প্রতিষ্ঠাকালে (শিল্প প্রকৌশলী সমাজের কলঙ্ক, ভন্ড আব্দুল্লা আল মামুনের নেতৃত্বাধীন) একটি স্বার্থন্বেসী কুচক্রীমহল থেকে আইইএবি এর অনেক প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্যদের হত্যার হুমকী দেওয়া হয়েছিলো (যেমনঃ প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য প্রকৌঃ জাহাঙ্গীর আলম তুষারকে নারায়ণগঞ্জে লাশ ফেলে দেওয়ার হুমকী দেওয়া হয়েছিলো; প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য প্রকৌঃ আশিবুল বাসারকে ঢাকার কুড়িল এলাকায় কেটে টুকরো টুকরো করার হুমকি দেওয়া হয়েছিলো; প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য প্রকৌঃ ফয়সাল আহমেদকে গাজীপুরের টঙ্গীতে চাকুরী হারানো ভয় দেখানো সহ হুমকি দেওয়া হয়েছিলো), বিভিন্ন মিথ্যা ও বানোয়াট তথ্য সোস্যাল মিডিয়ায় প্রচার করা হয়েছিলো এবং সোস্যাল মিডিয়ায় এক বা একাধিক ফেইক আইডি তৈরী করে শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের বিভ্রান্ত করা হয়েছিলো (যেমনঃ প্রকৌঃ জাহাঙ্গীর আলম তুষার এবং প্রকৌঃ আলতাফ হোসেন এর নামে একাধিক ফেইক আইডি হয়েছিলো)। এধরনের শত শত বাঁধা অতিক্রম করে ২০২০ সালের ১১ ই ডিসেম্বরে অআনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের ঐক্যবদ্ধ চেতনার প্ল্যাটফর্ম আইইএবি এর জন্ম হয়। এইজন্য এই দিনটি শিল্প ও বেসরকারি সেক্টরে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের কাছে বিশেষ স্মরণীয় ও তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ একটি দিন। তাই আইইএবি পরিবার আইইএবি প্রতিষ্ঠার পটভূমি ও এই দিনটির গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরতে এবং দিনটি আরো স্মরণীয় করতে এই দিনটিকে (১১ ডিসেম্বর) “শিল্প প্রকৌশলী দিবস” হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেছে।
শিল্প কারখানার চাকা সচল মানে দেশের অর্থনীতির চাকা সচল। শিল্প সেক্টরের চাকা সচল রাখতে শিল্প প্রকৌশলীরা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ্য ভুমিকা রেখে চলছে। বাংলাদেশে রপ্তানী প্রক্রিয়াকরণ এলাকা, ইকোনমিক জোন, হাই-টেক পার্ক/আইটি পার্ক, বিভিন্ন গ্রুপ অব কোম্পানীর শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠান, ম্যাল্টিন্যাশনাল কোম্পানীর কোম্পানীর শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠান সহ বিভিন্ন সরকারী/বেসরকারী শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠান রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ শিল্প সমৃদ্ধ এবং শিল্প সম্ভাবনাময় একটি দেশ। এই দেশে দিন দিন শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠানের সংখ্যা ক্রমাগতভাবে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে এবং সেই পরিক্রমায় এই দেশে শিল্প সেক্টর সামনের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে। এসব শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠানে লক্ষাধিক শিল্প প্রকৌশলী কর্মরত। অথচ এই শিল্প প্রকৌশলীরা তাদের কর্মক্ষেত্রে সবচাইতে বেশী বৈষম্যের এবং হয়রানির শিকার হচ্ছে। তাই, শিল্প ক্ষেত্রে ও প্রাইভেট সেক্টরে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের সকল বৈষম্য দূরীকরণে শিল্প সেক্টরে কর্মরত সকল শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের কল্যাণার্থে আইইএবি পরিবার নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে চলছে। আইইএবি শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের সর্ববৃহৎ একটি পরিবার। শিল্প সেক্টরে কর্মরত শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের বৃহৎ সংগঠন আইইএবি এর সদস্যদের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবী ছিলো শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের জন্য স্বতন্ত্র একটি দিবসের। শিল্প সেক্টরে কর্মরত শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের বৃহৎ এই পরিবারের সদস্যদের জন্য স্বতন্ত্র একটি দিবস এর প্রয়োজনীয়তা/দাবী আইইএবি পরিবার কর্তৃক শিল্প প্রকৌশলী দিবস ঘোষণার মাধ্যমে বাস্তবায়িত হয়েছে। শিল্প প্রকৌশলী দিবস ঘোষণার মাধ্যমে এই দিনটিকে উপলক্ষ্য করে বিভিন্ন শিল্প প্রিতিষ্ঠান/বেসরকারী খাতে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের/শিল্প প্রকৌশলীদের ন্যায্য দাবী, অধিকার, সুবিধা ও অসুবিধা, কল্যাণ এবং সকল বৈষম্য দূরীকরণের লক্ষ্যে কথা বলার বিশেষ সুযোগ তৈরী হয়েছে।

Industrial Engineers Day
Background: 11th December 2020 is one of the most special day for Engineers working in Industry/Private Sector in the backdrop of establishment of IEAB. A unified platform called “IEAB” was established (informally) on this day for the sake of truth and justice, for the elimination of all discrimination and for the overall welfare of engineers working in the industrial sector and in the private sector. During the establishment of “IEAB” (the disgrace of the Society of Industrial Engineers, led by the hypocrite Abdullah Al Mamun) many founding members of IEAB were threatened with death by a vested cabal (For example: Founder Member Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar was threatened with dumping the body in Narayanganj; Founder Member Engr. Ashibul Bashar was threatened to be cut into pieces in Dhaka’s Kuril area; Founder Member Engr. Faisal Ahmed was threatened with job loss in Tongi, Gazipur), Various false and fabricated information was circulated on social media and industrial engineers were misled by creating one or more fake IDs on social media (For example: Several fake IDs were created in the name of Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar and Engr. Altaf Hossain). Crossing hundreds of such barriers, on December 11, 2020, IEAB (a platform for the united spirit of industrial engineers) was born informally. Therefore, this day is a special memorable and significant day for engineers working in industry and private sector. Hence IEAB family has declared this day (December 11) as “Industrial Engineers Day” to highlight the background of IEAB establishment and to focus importance of this day and to make the day more memorable.
The wheels of industrial factories are moving means the wheels of the country’s economy are moving. Industrial engineers are playing a vital role in keeping the wheels of the industrial sector moving. Bangladesh has export processing areas, economic zones, hi-tech parks/IT parks, industrial establishments of various groups of companies, industrial establishments of multinational companies including various public/private industrial establishments. Bangladesh is a country with industrial rich and industrial potential. The number of industrial establishments in this country is increasing day by day and with that the industrial sector is moving forward in this country. Lakhs of industrial engineers are working in these industrial establishments. But these industrial engineers are facing the most discrimination and harassment in their workplace. Therefore, the IEAB family is relentlessly working for the welfare of all industrial engineers working in the industrial sector and to eliminate all discrimination between engineers working in the industrial sector and in the private sector. IEAB is one of the largest family of industrial engineers. Members of IEAB, the largest body of industrial engineers working in the industrial sector, had a long-standing demand a separate/unique day for industrial engineers. The need/demand for a separate day for the members of this large family of industrial engineers working in the industrial sector has been realized by the declaration of Industrial Engineers Day by the IEAB family. By declaring the Industrial Engineers Day, a special opportunity has been created to mark this day for the fair demands, rights, advantages and disadvantages, welfare and elimination of all discrimination of the engineers/industrial engineers working in various industrial institutions/private sector.
