Introduction

This organization will work for all fair rights, advantages and disadvantages, welfare, and elimination of discrimination of professional engineers working in industrial institutions / private Organizations / private sector and associated with industrial institutions of Bangladesh.

The background of the Establishment of the IEAB

Some Engineers working in industrial establishments / non-government organizations / private sector came together to form a messenger group called “Let’s Speak for Justice” for the purpose of setting up a platform/institution/parent organization for the engineers working in these sectors to talk about all the inequalities to ensure fair demands, rights, advantages and disadvantages, welfare and elimination of inequalities of engineers working in these sectors.

Once upon a time, a strong platform is built up to protest against injustice in eliminating inequality, fair rights, demands, advantages, and disadvantages of engineers working in private and industrial establishments / private sector through this “Let’s speak for justice” messenger group. Next IEAB (Industrial Engineers Association of Bangladesh) was born from the path of truth and justice through this platform.

So, IEAB is history. This messenger group is also history. Therefore, to make this group accessible, IEAB officials will maintain this group centrally. As IEAB shall live through the ages, Likewise, this group will live on with this name for ages. This group name will never be changed. The IEAB family is determined to keep this platform and history alive forever.

Naming

The name of this organization will be ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশ in Bengali and Industrial Engineers Association of Bangladesh in English. The abbreviation of which shall be called আইইএবি and IEAB.

Type of Organization

1. IEAB is an Engineering Professional Association.
2. IEAB is a voluntary, service and welfare organization.
3. IEAB is a completely non-political and secular organization.
4. IEAB will have no organ organization nor shall IEAB act as an organ-organization of any other organization. However, IEAB will have Co-institutions / Co-organization.

Slogan

The Industrial Engineers Association of Bangladesh (IEAB) shall have 01 (one) main slogan. The slogan is “Engineer family is a tool to build the country, IEAB’s pledge will achieve rights”.

Logo

The inner circle of IEAB’s logo will be red and the outer circle will be green. In the center of the logo there will be a circle of green color. From the point of this circle at the intersection of red and green will emerge a white helmet and under the red circle will mean white and black hands. Green is the symbol of the country; Red is the symbol of freedom war and sacrifice; The industrial cycle is a symbol of growth and progress; The white helmet is the practical symbol of Engineers; Hands are a symbol of unity.

The number of founding members shall not be increased in any way. The central executive council will take measures to hang their names on the wall of the head office / central office of the organization to commemorate the contribution of the establishment of this organization.

In case of anti-organizational activities/infighting/factionalism within the Industrial Engineers Association of Bangladesh (IEAB) the founding members can hold an emergency meeting to make the organization strong, dynamic, energetic, and unifying all the members and may take any necessary action and decision for the benefit of the organization and that decision shall be considered final.

Area of Organization
IEAB will be active all over Bangladesh. IEAB’s organizational functions will be managed through a total of 14 organizational divisions including 10 general divisions-Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet, Barisal, Chittagong, Mymensingh, Padma, and Meghna and 04 industrial divisions: Savar-Manikganj, Gazipur-Tangail, Narayanganj-Munshiganj, and Narsingdi-Kishoreganj.

It should be noted that the organizational activities and committees of the Industrial Unit / Industrial Area / Metropolitan (City Corporation Area) under the Division / Industrial Division will be considered as District equivalent and the activities and committees of Thana / Sub-Industrial Unit / Municipality will be considered as Upazila equivalent.

Office / Secretariat

IEAB shall have only one Central Office / Head Office. IEAB’s central office/headquarters will be located in Dhaka Division, but until its own building, IEAB’s work will be conducted from a temporary office. However, the temporary office should also be located in Dhaka Division.

1. Each organizational division of IEAB shall have one Divisional Office / Department. The Divisional Offices / Departments will be controlled under the overall supervision of the Central Office and will be managed as per the instructions of the Central Office.

2. Each District / Industrial unit / Metropolitan / Upazila / sub-industrial unit and Municipality under the organizational Division of IEAB shall have one branch/branch office/office.

১। ভূমিকা

বাংলাদেশের শিল্প প্রিতিষ্ঠান / প্রাইভেট প্রতিষ্ঠান / বেসরকারী খাতে কর্মরত এবং শিল্প প্রতিষ্ঠানের সাথে সংশ্লিষ্ট পেশাজীবি প্রকৌশলীদের সকল ন্যায্য অধিকার, সুবিধা ও অসুবিধা, কল্যাণার্থে, বৈষম্য দূরীকরণের লক্ষ্যে এই সংগঠন কাজ করবে।

২। আইইএবি প্রতিষ্ঠার পটভুমি

প্রাইভেট ও শিল্প প্রিতিষ্ঠান / বেসরকারী খাতে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের ন্যায্য দাবী, অধিকার, সুবিধা ও অসুবিধা, কল্যাণ এবং বৈষম্য দূরীকরণের লক্ষ্যে এই সকল সেক্টরে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের সমস্ত বৈষম্য নিয়ে কথা বলার জন্য একটি প্ল্যাটফর্ম / মঞ্চ / প্রতিষ্ঠান / অভিভাবক সংগঠন দাঁড় করানোর উদ্দেশ্যে এই সেক্টরের কর্মরত কিছু প্রকৌশলীরা একত্রিত হয়ে “আসুন ন্যায়ের পক্ষে কথা বলি” নামে একটি মেসেঞ্জার গ্রুপ তৈরী করেন।

এই “আসুন ন্যায়ের পক্ষে কথা বলি” মেসেঞ্জার গ্রুপের মাধ্যমে একটা সময় প্রাইভেট ও শিল্প প্রিতিষ্ঠান / বেসরকারী খাতে কর্মরত প্রকৌশলীদের ন্যায্য অধিকার, দাবী, সুবিধা ও অসুবিধা, বৈষম্য দূরীকরণে অন্যায়ের প্রতিবাদ করার একটি শক্ত প্ল্যাটফর্ম তৈরী হয়। পরবর্তীতে এই প্ল্যাটফর্মের মাধ্যমে সত্য ও ন্যায়ের পথে থেকে আইইএবি এর জন্ম হয়।

তাই, আইইএবি যেমন ইতিহাস। এই মেসেঞ্জার গ্রুপটাও তেমনি ইতিহাস। এইজন্য এই গ্রুপটাকে স্বরণীয় করে রাখতে, আইইএবি এর দায়িত্বশীলগণ কেন্দ্রীয়ভাবে এই গ্রুপটাকে সংরক্ষণ করবেন। আইইএবি যেমন বেঁচে থাকবে যুগের পর যুগ, তেমনি এই গ্রুপটাও এই নামেই বেঁচে থাকবে যুগের পর যুগ। এই গ্রুপের নাম কখনো পরিবর্তন করা হবে না। এই প্ল্যাটফর্ম ও ইতিহাসটাকে সবসময় চিরস্বরণীয় করে রাখতে আইইএবি পরিবার বদ্ধপরিকর থাকবে।

৩। নামকরণ

এই সংগঠনের নাম বাংলায় হইবে ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশ এবং ইংরেজিতে হইবে Industrial Engineers Association of Bangladesh. যার সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ আইইএবি এবং IEAB নামে অভিহিত হইবে।

৪। সংগঠনের ধরণ

১। আইইএবি একটি প্রকৌশল পেশাজীবি সংগঠন।
২। আইইএবি একটি স্বেচ্ছাসেবী, সেবা ও কল্যাণমূলক সংগঠন ।
৩। আইইএবি একটি সম্পূর্ণ অরাজনৈতিক ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ সংগঠন।
৪। আইইএবি এর কোন অঙ্গসংগঠন থাকবে না বা আইইএবি অন্য কোন সংগঠনের
অঙ্গসংগঠন হিসেবে কাজ করবে না। তবে আইইএবি এর সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠান থাকবে।

৫। স্লোগান

ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশ (আইইএবি) এর প্রধান ০১ (এক) টি স্লোগান থাকবে । স্লোগানটি হলো “প্রকৌশলী পরিবার দেশ গড়ার হাতিয়ার, আইইএবি এর অঙ্গীকার করবো অর্জন অধিকার” ।

৬। লোগো

আইইএবি এর লোগোর মধ্যের গোলাকৃতি লাল এবং বাইরের গোলাকৃতি সবুজ রংয়ের হবে। লোগোর মধ্যস্থলে সবুজ রংয়ের একটি শিল্পচক্র থাকবে। এই চক্রবৃত্তের বিন্দু থেকে লাল সবুজের সঙ্গমস্থলে উদ্ভূত হবে একটি সাদা হেলমেট এবং লাল বৃত্তের নিচে সাদা কালো হাত বুঝাবে। সবুজ হচ্ছে দেশের প্রতীক; লাল হচ্ছে স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধ ও ত্যাগের প্রতীক; শিল্পচক্র হচ্ছে উন্নতি ও অগ্রগতির প্রতীক; সাদা হেলমেট হচ্ছে প্রকৌশলীদের ব্যবহারিক প্রতিক; হাত হচ্ছে ঐক্যের প্রতিক।

প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য সংখ্যা কোনভাবে বর্ধিত হইবে না। এই সংগঠনের প্রতিষ্ঠার অবদানকে স্বরণীয় করে রাখতে তাদের নাম সংগঠনের প্রধান কার্যালয়ের / কেন্দ্রীয় দপ্তরের দেওয়ালে টাঙ্গিয়ে রাখার বিষয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যনির্বাহী পরিষদ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহন করবেন।

ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বাংলাদেশ (আইইএবি) এর মধ্যে সংগঠন বিরোধী কার্যক্রম/ অন্তর্কোন্দল/ দলীয়করণ মনোভাব দেখা গেলে সংগঠনকে শক্তিশালী, গতিশীল, বেগবান এবং সকল সদস্যকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ করার লক্ষ্যে প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্যগণ জরুরি সভা করে এবং সংগঠনের সার্থে প্রয়োজনীয় যেকোন পদক্ষেপ এবং সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করতে পারবে এবং সেই সিদ্ধান্ত চূড়ান্ত বলে বিবেচিত হইবে।

১০। সংঠনের পরিধি

সমগ্র বাংলাদেশ ব্যাপী আইইএবি এর কার্যকম থাকবে। ১০টি সাধারণ বিভাগ-ঢাকা, খুলনা, রাজশাহী, রংপুর, সিলেট, বরিশাল, চট্টগ্রাম, ময়মনসিংহ, পদ্মা ও মেঘনা এবং ০৪ টি শিল্প বিভাগঃ সাভার- মানিকগঞ্জ, গাজীপুর- টাঙ্গাইল, নারায়নগঞ্জ- মুন্সিগঞ্জ এবং নরসিংদী- কিশোরগঞ্জ সহ মোট ১৪ টি সাংগঠনিক বিভাগের মাধ্যমে আইইএবি এর সাংগঠনিক কার্যকম পরিচালিত হবে।

উল্লেখ্য যে, বিভাগ / শিল্প বিভাগের অন্তুর্ভুক্ত শিল্প ইউনিট / শিল্প এরিয়া / মহানগর (সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকা) এর সাংগঠনিক কার্যক্রম এবং কমিটিগুলো জেলা সমমান হিসেবে গণ্য হবে এবং উপ-শিল্প ইউনিট/ পৌরসভা এর কার্যক্রম এবং কমিটিগুলো উপজেলার সমমান হিসেবে গণ্য হবে।

১১। কার্যালয় / দপ্তর

আইইএবি এর একটি মাত্র কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয় / প্রধান কার্যালয় থাকবে। আইইএবি এর কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয় / কেন্দ্রীয় দপ্তর ঢাকা বিভাগে অবস্থিত হইবে, তবে নিজস্ব ভবন না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আইইএবি এর কার্যাদি অস্থায়ী কার্যালয় হতে পরিচালনা হইবে। তবে, অস্থায়ী কার্যালয়ও ঢাকা বিভাগে অবস্থিত হতে হবে।

১। আইইএবি এর প্রতিটি সাংগঠনিক বিভাগে একটি করে বিভাগীয় কার্যালয় / দপ্তর
থাকবে। বিভাগীয় কার্যালয়গুলো / দপ্তরগুলো কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয় এর সার্বিক তত্তাবধানে নিয়ন্ত্রিত হবে এবং কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ের নির্দেশ মোতাবেক পরিচালিত হবে।

২। আইইএবি এর সাংগঠনিক বিভাগের অধীনস্থ প্রতি জেলা / শিল্প ইউনিট / মহানগর
/ উপজেলা / উপ-শিল্প ইউনিট এবং পৌরসভায় একটি করে শাখা / বাঞ্চ কার্যালয় / দপ্তর থাকবে।
