ক্যারিয়ার হচ্ছে নিজের ভবিষ্যৎ জীবন কেমন হবে তার একটি সংজ্ঞা। কিভাবে নিজের জীবনকে সুন্দর করতে হয়? আপনার কর্ম জীবন কি হবে? এই সমস্ত বিষয় গুলোকে ক্যারিয়ার বলে। যেমন আপনি আপনার জীবন একজন দক্ষ প্রকৌশলী হয়ে কাটাতে চান। এই প্রকৌশলী হচ্ছে আপনার ক্যারিয়ার। মানুষের জীবনের সুনির্দিষ্ট যে কর্ম রয়েছে তাকেই ক্যারিয়ার বলা হয়। সেটি যেকোনো কর্ম হতে পারে। হতে পারে চাকরি, উদ্যোক্তা, ফ্রিলান্সান্সিং যেকোনো কিছু। মানুষ তার যেকোনো একটি নির্দিষ্ট কর্মের মাধ্যমে জীবন পরিচালনা করাকে ক্যারিয়ার বলে। মানুষের জীবনের উন্নয়নের ধারাকে প্রকাশ করার জন্য ক্যারিয়ার শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয়ে থাকে। নিজের ক্যারিয়ারকে খুব সুন্দরভাবে সাজাতে হলে অনেক পদক্ষেপ গ্রহন করতে হয়। একটি সফল ক্যারিয়ার গঠন করতে হলে জীবনে অনেক পরিকল্পিত পদক্ষেপ গ্রহন করতে হয়। প্রাইভেট / শিল্প সেক্টরের প্রকৌশলীদের ক্যারিয়ার বা কর্ম জীবন সফল করতে বা সমৃদ্ধ করতেই “ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল” কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
বিভিন্ন মাল্টিন্যাশনাল / গ্রুপ অফ কোম্পানী / বেসরকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান ইত্যাদি থেকে জবের অপর্চুনিটি আনা এবং আইইএবি এর সদস্যদের জবের সুযোগ করে দিয়ে প্রকৌশলীদের কর্মসংস্থান করা এবং কর্মজীবন সমৃদ্ধকরণ করাই হবে” ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল” এর মূখ্য কাজ। পাশাপাশি প্রকৌশলীদের ক্যারিয়ার বা কর্মজীবন সমৃদ্ধ করতে প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিষয়ক বিভিন্ন সেমিনার, প্রশিক্ষণ, কর্মশালা ও কনফারেন্স এই পোর্টাল এর উদ্যোগে আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে।
ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির মেয়াদ হবে ০৩ (তিন) বৎসর। এই কমিটি মর্যাদা হবে (ধারা ৪.১০ অনুযায়ী) কেন্দ্রীয় উপ-কমিটির সমমান। ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির বাহিরে বিভাগীয় কমিটিও গঠন করা যাবে। ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর বিভাগীয় কমিটির মেয়াদ, পদ-পদবী রূপরেখা ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির অনুরূপ হবে। ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কার্যক্রম সুষ্ঠুভাবে পরিচালনা করার স্বার্থে (কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির বাহিরে) ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় / বিভাগীয় পোর্টালে সর্বোচ্চ দুইশত আইইএবি এর সদস্য কাজ করতে পারবে । ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টালে যে সকল সদস্যগণ কাজ করবে, তারা ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় সদস্য / বিভাগীয় সদস্য হিসেবে পরিচয় দিতে পারবে।
ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর বিভাগীয় কমিটিগুলো ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সরাসরি তত্ত্বাবধানে গঠিত হবে। ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর বিভাগীয় কার্যক্রম / বিভাগীয় কমিটির কার্যক্রম সংশিষ্ট বিভাগের বিভাগীয় কমিটি এবং ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সরাসরি / সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে পরিচালিত হবে।
উল্লেখ্য যে, জাতীয় স্টিয়ারিং কমিটির একজন সদস্য ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর পরিচালক (Director) হিসেবে দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত থাকবেন এবং জাতীয় প্রেসিডিয়াম কাউন্সিল এর একজন সদস্য ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টালএর কো-অর্ডিনেটর (Co-ordinator) হিসেবে দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত থাকবেন । পাশাপাশি চীফ কাউন্সিলরদের মধ্য থেকে একজন সদস্য ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর সহ-কোঅর্ডিনেটর (Co-coordinator) হিসেবে দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত থাকবেন। জাতীয় স্টিয়ারিং কমিটির / কেন্দ্রীয় নির্বাহী কমিটির সভাপতি এবং সাধারণ সম্পাদক এর সম্মিতিতে জাতীয় স্টিয়ারিং কমিটি এবং জাতীয় প্রেসিডিয়াম কাউন্সিল এবং চীফ কাউন্সিলরদের মধ্য থেকে দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত এই তিন জন সদস্য ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর কমিটি গঠন সহ সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে থাকবেন।
আইইএবি এর ইতিহাসে ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর প্রথম মনোনীত পরিচালক প্রকৌঃ মেহেদী হাসান; আইইএবি এর ইতিহাসে ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর প্রথম মনোনীত কোঅর্ডিনেটর প্রকৌঃ মোঃ সায়েদুর রহমান রিয়াদ এবং আইইএবি এর ইতিহাসে ক্যারিয়ার এনরিচমেন্ট পোর্টাল এর প্রথম মনোনীত সহ-কোঅর্ডিনেটর প্রকৌঃ মোঃ মঞ্জুর রহমান বাশার।

Career Enrichment Portal, IEAB
A career is a definition of what one’s future life will be like. How to make your life beautiful? What will your working life be? All these things are called career. Like you want to spend your life as a skilled engineer. This engineer is your career. Career is the specific activity of human life. It can be any action. May be job, entrepreneurship, freelancing anything. Man’s way of life through any particular activity is called career. The term career is used to describe the developmental course of a person’s life. There are many steps to take to make your career very beautiful. To build a successful career one has to take many planned steps in life. “Career Enrichment Portal” is working to make the career or working life successful or enriching of engineers in private / industrial sector.
Bringing job opportunities from various multinationals / groups of companies / private organizations etc. and employment of engineers by providing job opportunities to members of IEAB and career enrichment will be the main function of “Career Enrichment Portal”. As well as, Various seminars, trainings, workshops and conferences on engineering and technology are being organized by this portal to enrich the career of engineers.
The term of the Central Committee of Career Enrichment Portal will be 03 (three) years. This Committee shall have status (as per Section 4.10) equivalent to the Central Sub-Committee. Apart from the central committee of the Career Enrichment Portal; Divisional committees can also be formed. The tenure of the Divisional Committee of Career Enrichment Portal, the position & outline will be similar to that of the Central Committee of Career Enrichment Portal. In order to run the activities of Career Enrichment Portal smoothly (outside the Central Committee), maximum two hundred members of IEAB can work in the central / divisional portal of Career Enrichment Portal. All the members who will work in Career Enrichment Portal, they can introduce themselves as central member / divisional member of Career Enrichment Portal, IEAB.
The Divisional Committees of Career Enrichment Portal will be formed under the direct supervision of the Central Committee of Career Enrichment Portal. The divisional activities of the Career Enrichment Portal will be conducted under the direct / overall supervision of the Divisional Committee of the concerned division and the Central Committee of the Career Enrichment Portal.
Note that a member of the National Steering Committee will be responsible as the Director of Career Enrichment Portal and a member of the National Presidium Council will be responsible as the Coordinator of Career Enrichment Portal. As well as, one member from among the Chief Councilors will be responsible as the Co-coordinator of Career Enrichment Portal. In consent of the President and General Secretary of the National Steering Committee / Central Executive Committee, these three responsible members from the National Steering Committee and the National Presidium Council and the chief Councilors will be in overall supervision of Career Enrichment Portal including committee formation.
Engr. Mehdi Hasan is the first nominated Director of Career Enrichment Portal in the history of IEAB, Engr. Md. Shahadur Rahman Riyad is the first Nominated Coordinator of Career Enrichment Portal in the history of IEAB and Engr. Monjur Rahman Bashar is the first nominated Co-Coordinator of Career Enrichment Portal in the history of IEAB.
